Wedding Rings: Shape and Fit

Wedding Rings Shape and Fit

When choosing a ring it is important to take note of the shape of the band. This shape will determine the fit and comfort of the ring when worn and you will want it to be perfect as it’s something that will be worn every day.

Below, we have provided a simple diagram showing you the range of shapes available here at T. H. Baker. It is also worth reading the descriptions of the different ring profiles to see which wedding band shape will best suit your style.

Wedding Ring Profile Guide

Court

Curved on the outside and comfortable fit on the inside, this is a popular choice and is available in all precious metals. Known for their comfortable fit due to being rounded on both their inside and outside edges. The court-shaped ring is usually the traditional choice when choosing a wedding ring.

D-Shape

With a curved outside and flat inner surface, this ring fits closely against the finder and the domed exterior is perfect for showing off designs or diamonds. This type of ring is known as a D-shaped ring due to its resemblance to the letter D.

Flat Court

The flat exterior of these rings provides the wearer with a sleek modern edge while the curved interior benefits from a smooth comfortable fit. Created for more comfortable wear whilst being able to match engagement ring styles.

Halo

Traditional in design, this band shape is perfectly round when viewed at the cross-section and will provide you with an all-over comfortable fit.

Flat

This design is great for people who love a modern design with a clean-cut aesthetic. With no oval shape or curve to the band, this style of wedding ring gives an ultra-modern look and feel.

Concave

The opposite of a D-Shaped ring, this design is comfortable on the interior and the outer edge. A modern twist on the classic look.
