Bremont Watches is the latest luxury Watch brand to join T. H. Baker's portfolio. With all the watches designed, manufactured, and assembled in England, Bremont Watches is proudly flying the flag for British watchmaking. But where did it all begin? And perhaps more importantly, how did Bremont become the best of British luxury?
With this year being Bremont's 10-year anniversary, we thought we would celebrate their story and phenomenal achievements.
'Each watch is designed to appeal to those who share our passion for - and appreciation of - the innovation and mastery behind a beautiful mechanical wristwatch...We hope you enjoy the same satisfaction when you try on a Bremont watch, as we do in creating one.'
The Bremont Watches Story
Bremont Watches has a fascinating story to tell. Inspired by a shared love for watches and historical aircraft, Bremont was founded by two brothers, Nick, and Giles English. Despite being set up in 2002, it was five years later, in 2007, that the brothers revealed their first Bremont Watch Collection to the world. In 2012, Bremont won 'Breakthrough Brand’ at the Luxury Briefing Awards.
The origin of the well-established Bremont name is a story about a chance encounter with a relatively unknown French engineer. On a plane crossing over France in the late 1990s, the two brothers were forced to make an emergency landing. They landed in a French farmer's field.
The farmer offered his hospitality and a barn to shelter the aircraft. They discovered that their host had flown aircraft during the war, and was a gifted engineer. Affected by his warm hospitality and shared love for aircraft and watches the brothers decided to honour the French farmer's name - Antoine Bremont.

What's in a Name?
Bremont Watches continue to honour notable individuals with their watches - including the Solo Automatic Chronometer Watch SOLO 32 AJ/WH. This model was named after Amy Johnson who embarked on a solo flight in a DH-60 Gypsy Moth from England to Australia in 1930.
British Partners and Ambassadors
Bremont Watches are built to endure an adventurous lifestyle with chronometers for pilots, travel, diving, motorsports, and sailing. Bremont has an impressive portfolio of British partners and brand ambassadors to its name.
Perhaps the greatest testament to the quality of Bremont timepieces is their service to the military and aviation industries. Bremont is entrusted with providing bespoke watches for military units across the globe and designing limited edition pieces, such as the Bremont Sea King timepiece, exclusively for serving and retired pilots.

Jaguar: Official British Partner for Bremont
With the Jaguar Automotive Company being a luxury British engineering company, this seemed a natural collaboration for Bremont. Merging the car design universe with watchmaking, a total of six chronometers were designed by Bremont to exclusively compliment each of the six ‘continuation’ lightweight E-Type sports racing cars built by Jaguar.
Ben Saunders: Official British Brand Ambassador for Bremont
Known for his record-breaking long-distance skiing, Saunders is an endurance athlete and polar explorer. One of Saunder's many accomplishments includes the completion of Captain Scott's Terra Nova expedition - the longest unsupported polar expedition in history.
Henley Royal Regatta
Earlier this year, Bremont, based in Henley-On-Thames, became the first official Timing Partner of Henley Royal Regatta. The Henley Regatta is recognised as one of the most prestigious events on the British rowing calendar. For the event, Bremont built a series of custom handheld chronographs for the umpires. This embraced the tradition of mechanical time-keeping at the Regatta.

Bremont Watches - The Best Of British Luxury
All Bremont watches in the core range are COSC-certified. Immensely precise, reliable, and durable, Bremont Chronometers come with a three-year warranty. Bremont watches are also hand-built in limited numbers, offering exclusivity.
A cornerstone for the company lies in its design principles. The models come from an interest in engineering as opposed to fashion. However, while Bremont Watches are made to endure adventurous lifestyles, they still look stylish.

What underlies the awards and prestigious partnerships is the brother's lifelong love of watches, their belief in the mechanics of timepieces, and their drive to give English watchmaking a new lease of life in the luxury market.
