Founded in 2002 by brothers Nick and Giles English, Bremont a proud British watchmaker has launched a brand-new timepiece that has tested their manufacturing skills by creating a brand-new generation of pilot watches. Working closely with British aviation company Martin-Baker to create a concept test instrument that would be put under the most extreme testing environment equalling that of a fighter ejection seat technology. From this, the Bremont MB Viper timepiece was born.
This limited-edition timepiece is a thing of collector’s dreams, the first model that houses the ENG300 movement. As visible from the case back, this watch is limited to only 300 pieces. A fantastic representation of Bremont’s achievements in design and engineering, the self-winding ENG352 calibre also has a fantastic 65-hour power reserve.
An unusual design to that of the usual Bremont timepieces, with the case middle being secured with 4 corner Torx® screws to create a square case. A circular dial that features a second’s track, as well as hour markers that feature Super-LumiNova® and chevron-decorated hands that match the ejection pull handles on fighter ejection seats. This stunning watch comes with two canvas straps, one orange, and one black to match the case design.
A long-standing partnership with Martin-Baker since 2009, Bremont and Martin-Baker have been setting the standard for pilot’s watches. Going through six different extreme tests consisting of live ejection testing, MFOS crashworthy test, extreme temperature endurance, vibration testing, altitude testing and finally aircraft carrier deck test.
This stunning timepiece is designed to be lightweight and features grad 5 Titanium with an anti-shock movement mount. Its bright orange case design allows brilliant visibility and legibility. The MB Viper is powered by Bremont’s ENG352 calibre movement which has been rigorously tested using Bremont’s H1 Timing Standard.
